About
Born in Monterrey, Mexico (1993), Stef Lizz is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, ceramics, photography, poetry, and performance. Her practice is intuitive and body-led, exploring how color, form, and movement can hold emotion, memory, and inner states.
With a background in psychology and years of experience in yoga, meditation, and somatic practices, her work is shaped by ritual, sensation, and embodied awareness. Stef explores the relationship between inner and outer worlds, allowing subtle experiences to take material form.
She is the founder of Ascendente, a studio and artistic space through which she shares her visual work and creative explorations, approaching art as a tool for presence, reflection, and inner connection.
Her artistic path has unfolded through travel, practice, and hands-on immersion. Across Turkey, Spain, Cairo, India, and the United Kingdom, Stef has explored geometry, drawing, and traditional craft processes such as stone, plaster, and wood carving. These experiences continue to inform her relationship with material, pattern, and movement.
In 2024, Stef took part in an artist residency at Cultermin, Berlin, where her practice expanded through the integration of movement, painting, and installation, exploring the body as an active presence within space and material.
Stef has exhibited her work in Mexico, Berlin, and London, and facilitates gatherings that blend art, sound, and inner exploration.
Her artworks invite not only observation, but a return to the sacred within — a soft, intuitive remembering.
